Privacy Policy

What this covers. This policy applies to copium.games only. DEI Detective (deidetective.com) is a separate service with its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and nothing here modifies them.
01 Who we are
Copium Games LLC operates this website at copium.games. For any privacy question or request, use our contact form and choose Privacy or legal request. That reaches us directly and is the official channel for these enquiries.
02 What we collect and why
This is a static website. There are no user accounts, no logins, and no comment system. We collect personal data in exactly one place — the contact form.
Contact form
If you submit the form we receive your name, email address, and message, and we use them only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form.
Alongside the message we also record technical details about the request — your IP address, approximate location derived from it, network provider, browser user agent, and the page you arrived from. These help us identify and block abuse of the form. They are kept with the message and deleted on the same schedule. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
Server and network logs
Our hosting and network provider records standard request information — IP address, browser user agent, and timestamp — to keep the site available and to block abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure site.
Spam prevention
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
Embedded content
If a page embeds content from another site — a video, for example — that provider may collect data about you as though you had visited them directly. Their policies apply to that content.
03 Cookies
We set no cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Our network provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security and abuse prevention.
04 Who we share it with
We use a small number of providers to run the site and deliver your messages:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and spam prevention
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — delivers contact form submissions to us
- Google Workspace — hosts the mailbox those submissions arrive in
We do not share your personal data with anyone else unless we are legally required to, and we never sell it.
05 How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept for six months and then deleted. Server logs are kept according to our provider's standard retention period.
06 Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through our contact form, choosing Privacy or legal request, and we will respond within one month. This does not cover data we are required to keep for legal or security reasons. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
07 International transfers
Our providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the EU and UK. Transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses.
08 Security and breaches
All traffic to this site is encrypted with TLS. Because the site is static there is no database, no content management login, and no user accounts to compromise. Access to the contact inbox is limited to Copium Games personnel.
If a breach occurs and is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay, and within 72 hours where the law requires it.
09 What we don't do
We do not receive personal data about you from third parties, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
10 Changes and contact
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with an updated date. Questions go through our contact form. A postal address for formal correspondence is available on legitimate request.
